English Design & Creation
The body of our cafetiere is produced from 18/10 stainless steel sheet. The sheet is drawn through three separate moulds. The height of our cafetiere body means this is an incredibly skilled operation, which requires additional heat treatment at each stage. The lids, spouts and handle brackets are hand pressed.
While the spouts and handles are welded in place, the inside of the cafetiere body is flushed, in a special device created by an engineering team in Yorkshire to ensure that the cylindrical shape does not warp, making the specialist welding possible. The pots are then polished by hand.
Your cafetiere will gleam on your table. Our cafetiere is not mass produced, and each one is unique, the product is the combination of many craftsmen, working each item by hand.
We tested a variety of woods, each sustainably sourced in England, but the rich hues of the walnut, hand-turned in Norfolk, was our customers favourite. If you have something special in mind, or have a much loved piece of wood that would make your cafetiere truly one-of-a-kind, do let us know. This is an item we hope will be loved for years to come and therefore we are happy to put in the extra steps to truly personalise it to you.
